As an organisation which has grown from two employees to over 850 employees and active sub-contractors across Australia and around the globe, we have navigated challenges and found solutions to solve the problems that matter with pace and agility. Throughout our history, Nova Systems has continued to invest in growing its core Australian sovereign capabilities and offerings focused around Test, Evaluation, Certification and Systems Assurance ensuring the most complex capabilities are successfully introduced into service meeting the strategic capability needs of the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces – and in doing so, playing a critical role in the defence and security of our nations. Here at Nova, we seed Australian technology, capability and know-how and ensure this remains resident in Australia – ensuring jobs for next generation Australians and making a real contribution to the national economy. The sovereign discussion is not just withing the realm of defence – it is a much broader dialogue that goes to the heart of Australia – jobs for Australians and contribution to the broader national economy. At the end of the day it is about providing jobs that require tech- nical capability & know how for Australians here in Australia. As an Australian and owned and controlled company, our commitment to this is in our DNA. As part of growing sovereign capabilities Nova Systems continues to invest in upskilling its workforce – this is at the heart of how we solve complex problems. Nova Systems has invested AUD 10 million over the last five years in the continued development of our employees. In addition, as part of our on-going commitment to growing the future workforce for the Nation, we have invested in the Nova Systems Graduate Program which has matured to over 40 paid full-time graduates on two-year rotations, with a further 25 planned for the 2021 intake. In 2018, Nova Systems, leading Team Nova, was selected as the only 100% Australian owned and controlled Major Service Provider (MSP) to Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) contributing to the nation’s sovereign industrial capability, and providing enhanced value to defence. We continue to build long term collaborative and enduring relationships that allow us to draw on our core specialisations of Test, Evaluation, Certification and Systems Assurance to deliver enhanced offerings and outcomes across all domains and technologies through the MSP framework at lower risk, more effective and efficiently for the defence and security of our nation. Over our 20 years, Nova Systems has supported the introduction of many of the ADF’s strategic capabilities – an Australian company en- abling Australia’s Defence Forces to protect and defend our nation the epitome of a true sovereign national response Examples of capabilities that Nova Systems is proud to have supported being introduced are: Steven Robinson CEO Nova Systems • MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter • CH-47 Chinook Heavy-Lift Helicopters • PC21 Pilot Training System • F-35A Joint Strike Fighter and F18 Super Hornet • E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircraft • OneSKY – Air Traffic Control • Fixed Base Defence Air Traffic Management • Hawkeii Protected Mobility Vehicle • Air Warfare Destroyer and Anzac Class Frigate • Future and Collins Class Submarines • UHF Military and Next Generation SATCOM • Maritime Communications Modernisation Over the last decade, it has been exciting for the organisation to be able to leverage our Australian sovereign foundation to export our home-grown expertise globally.
