Units then step if the required vertical range exceeds system capabilities. ● Vessels are moored with one operator using a remote-control system (radio and/or Wifi). ● Mooring forces and overall system status are monitored in real-time. ● Ships can be repositioned in the surge axis without needing to start their engines, and without pilots or tugs. ● Draft and tidal variations are managed automatically without human involvement. Shore Power Systems ● Ship side - AMPTainer Cavotec AMPTainer is a semi-fixed shore power system housed in a 40ft shipping container, and mounted onto the vessel. This self-contained solution includes an AMPReel, shore connection panel and other electrical equipment needed for shore connection. In addition, a step down transformer can also be housed in the AMPTainer for low voltage vessels. ● Ship side - AMPReel Cavotec AMPReel is a fixed shore power system mounted on a chassis andfixed on the vessel. This solution consists of a motorised cable management system including AMP connectors and cables, a cable drum with a slip ring, a motor reducer, an optical fibre accumulator, an electrical control panel and a pivotable hydraulic cable guide. ● AMPVault AMPVaults are shore power pits integrated along the berth to connect container and bulk vessels. They have the following advantages: o Minimum footprint o Minimum CAPEX due to fibreglass pre-formed enclosure, making substantial savings in terms of on-site labour and civil works o Easy operations: AMP Easy Lift Cover Assembly allows operators to easily open the cover with a lift weight of only 15kg (35lbs). The AMPVaults consist of: o Spring loaded cover for easy access. o Stainless steel junction box. o AMPSockets fully compliant with IEC standards. o Optical fibre connectors. o Prefabricated fibreglass pit. ● AMPCaddy AMPCaddy-B is a self-propelled battery-driven mobile system. Wherever a vessel is moored, even if the vessels’ power cables are not aligned with, or fail to extend to a shore power pit, AMPCaddy-B provides an extension for safe connection. ● AMPTrailer AMPTrailer is a manual mobile shore power cable management system. It offers the flexibility to move the point of shore power connection away from crane operations. ● AMPMobile AMPMobile is a mobile shore power system that connects cruise vessels to shore power quickly and safely.
