AUS 300 Company Information - Cont'd Description Austral Wright Metals (AWM) is a national company that specialises in supplying non-ferrous metals for electrical, corrosion resistance, high & low temperatures and other critical service applications. We supply virtually all grades and forms of; stainless steels (including austenitic, 6% and 7% moly super austenitic, ferritic, duplex, super duplex and other specialty grades), copper, copper alloys, 90/10 & 70/ 30 copper nickel, brass, bronze (including Defence Standard, i.e. Def-Stan 02-833), aluminium, titanium, nickel alloys, plus many more. We have extensive experience in the supply of materials used in large infrastructure projects (as well as smaller jobbing work) in the Defence Industry (both directly to the Prime Contractors, and to their sub-contractors), electrical engineering, the wine industry, oil, gas, mining, water, food processing and paper processing sectors. CAPABILITY Austral Wright Metals is predominantly a "stock and supply" company, with considerable stock holdings in NSW, SA, VIC and WA. We currently hold in the vicinity of 4,000 tonnes of 'merchandising' stock in Australia, with the ability to either hold customer specific stock that can drawn down against as and when it's required, or supply on an 'indent' basis. Austral Wright Metals has a long history of partnerships with some of the world's best known, most technically compliant and most respected mills throughout the world. We also draw on the expertise and stock-holdings of various suppliers around the globe where the quantities may not warrant full exmill manufacturing. As part of a global family of companies we also have access to a vast array of stockist around the world, many of whom stock and supply the same kinds of materials that we deal with, often giving us the ability to supply less than mill order quantities on short lead-times. Our customer base is as wide and varied as our materials portfolio. They include current Defence Prime Contractors and sub-contractors, world class mining and processing companies right down to the little sheet-metal fabricators and general engineers.
